Balodia Rodríguez His taste for the artistic world of dance started when he was just 5 years old, and at 7 he was already taking part in choreographic competitions. So much so that in 1989 the Cuban Ministry of Culture proposed him to join the National School of Art to study modern and folkloric dance during 6 years. He graduated from this school in 1995 with excellent results, and joined the Conjunto Folklórico Nacional de Cuba, one of the most prestigious dance company in Cuba, as a professional dancer. With this company, he has taken part in numerous national and international tours, as first dancer and also as instructor and choreographer, doing his best to share Cuban popular and traditional culture with people all over the world. |
