Isidoro Días Flores (Spain)
Isidoro Díaz is an instructor of Spanish from Colegio Ibérico in Salamanca, Spain. He came to Japan in 2005 and teaches all levels of classes. He says that he’s very interested in Japan, its culture, the different ways of seeing life and, of course, the beauty of its people. He is fascinated by the idea of comparing two totally opposite worlds and tries to discover the essence of the Japanese soul.

Art OPEN WORKSHOP 2012.








The goal of this workshop is to encourage communication through the practice of plastic arts, developing different techniques and trying to achieve conceptual results. This workshop will try to share with the participants other aesthetics references apart from the local one, all this through the exposition to elements from other cultures but always granting their total freedom for creation and exploration of their own personal style. These works will be based on “themes” closely related to the Latin culture as well as the Spanish language.
Participants will be able to develop drawing, painting and sculpture techniques.
System for taking classes
This yearly Workshop will be divided into several periods, based on Tiempo’s classes system (12 sections per year).

Both regular classes and practical sessions will be made up of groups of no less than 4 people. However, owning to the fact that we want to increase the number of participants and because we are in an initial stage of this project, classes will start even though they don’t reach this minimum number of participants. It will be carried out like this for a period of one year at least; after that, the administration will evaluate the continuity of the project.
However participants are requested to understand that in these cases some changes can be applied to the classes schedule.

Regular courses:
7,500 yen (4 classes | 1 class: 2h 30min)
In order to achieve a big variety of techniques and possibilities in class, we will regularly invite different art teachers, announcing always the extra cost and the duration to the participants. These extraordinary classes will be taken instead of the practical sessions and their extra cost won’t be higher than 4.500 yens per month. In case of being more expensive than this, it would be consulted to the participants in advanced.

Leonardo Bravo
Trained in music and guitar, Leonardo Bravo studied at the School of Music at Universidad Nacional de Rosario. He has been intensely involved giving recitals both here and abroad. He has performed in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Brazil, Spain, Italy, the United States and Canada. He has won numerous and prestigious competitions for classical guitar, but never strays far from folkloric roots during his concerts. His interest in this music style generated a search which gave rise to his own compositions and revived interest in others to write new music for guitar. From 1991, he became the academic chair of guitar at Universidad Nacional de Rosario.
Leonardo Bravo has produced four recordings: Leonardo Bravo, for the Círculo Guitarrístico Argentino; Guitarists of Rosario, for the Municipal Publishers for the City of Rosario; Songs of the World, together with the tenor Enrique Francovigh; and The Soul in the Root, his new solo recording that is part of the collection of Guitars of the World. The composer Marcelo Colonel wrote music specifically for this work, which is the route to the main musical regions of Argentina.
Guitar: Roberto Monteiro (Brazil)
Roberto was part during 3 years of the Companhia Folclorica do Rio with which he performed in different places in Brazil and carried out studies about Brazilian popular culture.
He studied classic and flamenco guitar with Mara Lúcia Ribeiro as well as other great Brazilian and Spanish flamenco guitarists such as Allan Harbas, Fábio Nin, Fernando de la Rua, El Bola, Luciano Camara, Jony Gonçalves, Paco Cruz and Pino Losada.
He performed in various places in Brazil and has recently taken part in Brasil Flamenco, in Madrid, with Fernando de la Rua and other Brazilian artists.
He is currently pursuing superior studies in music at Rio de Janeiro Federal University.
Through an agreement with the Corporacion Cultural Barranquilla (Colombia) and the Santiago Alfonso’s dance company (Cuba), a major dance organization, professional instructors arrive in Fukuoka every 6 months to provide Latin Dance lesson.
Although the focus is on Salsa and Merengue, the instructors are also well versed in several dances, from traditional dances to modern ones.

Santiago Alfonso (Director Santiago Alfonso’s dance company, Cuba)
Artistic director, dancer, choreographer and teacher. One of the founding members of Danza Contemporánea de Cuba, who was subsequently choreographer and director of the Conjunto Folklórico Nacional and artistic director of the famous Tropicana cabaret. Santiago's work points toward incorporating modern and contemporary dance, theatre codes and popular dances into shows conceived both for the stage and nightclubs with a fresh and experimental spirit. Opening night was a total sell-out with Transporte by Rafael Olivera, a piece which was favourably received by the critics for its philosophy of movement and impeccable execution.

Amanda Sánchez (Cuba)
Rodrigo Vallejos (Argentina)
Rodrigo Vallejos is an Argentinean dancer born in Mar del Plata. He is 24 years old and already has a 13-year long experience in latin dance. He has been giving classes for 12 years, in Argentina as well as in the Mercosur countries. In his country, Argentina, he went to countless cities to give classes and workshops, but also to perform in many shows, thus sharing with the audience and his students his excellent work as a pro dancer and teacher. In his hometown, Mar del Plata, he works as a dancer for Orquesta Municipal de Mar del Plata (Music Hall) and takes part, during the theatre season, in musicals such as "Bendito Total", in which famous Latin American artists played. He also did some promotion activities for famous brands in his country.
In addition, he ventured in the world of Cuban folklore, dancing rumba's four styles (yambu, guaguanco, columbia and jiribilla) and practicing as a percussionist. Last, but not least, he is also a hip-hop and regueton dancer.
In his speciality, salsa, he is able to teach and mix all the styles: timba, L. A. style, N.Y.C style (On2), etc.
This is his second time in Tiempo Iberoamericano. With such an artistic background, he may as well be considered as the artistic ambassador of Mar del Plata in Japan.

Ricardo Murillo (Colombia)
Colombian dancer who, since an early age, took part in numerous contests, festivals and championships; achieving the first place in the next ones: “Festival de verano de Colombia”, “Campeonato de Salsa en Jamundi” and “Campeonato nacional de la feria de Cali”. Also to remark his participation in the next international events: “Congreso mundial de salsa de Chicago (Illinois)-2004” and “Competición mundial de salsa de Ponce (Puerto Rico)”.
Ricardo, accompanied by his artistic partner Viviana, has participated in a large amount of congresses, festivals and national championships as well as international championships too, like in Los Ángeles (California), Nez Zealand, Portland (United States), São Paulo (Brazil), Rosario (Argentine), San José (Costa Rica) and Medellín y Cali in Colombia, always achieving one of the best positions.
Ricardo is in possession of plenty of recognitions in Colombia as well as in other foreign countries. Thanks to this, hi is constantly required to participate in different places taking care of artistic tours, shows and other high standard events.
Currently Ricardo is the coordinator and a professor of the artistic foundation “Stilo y Sabor”.
Tango lesson are taught by an instructor born and raised in the Tango Mecca: Buenos Aires. And since nobody is more passionate about Tango than those from Buenos Aires, we can assure you that the instruction level is the best.

Cecilia Arias & Matías Lasala (Argentina)
Cecilia and Matías dance and teach tango together since 2006. They studied with some of the most famous revelers as well as some of the most well-known tango dancers like Jorge Torres, Claude Murga, Carlos Rivarola, Roberto Reis, Guillermina Quiroga and Estanislao Herrera. Furthermore, Cecilia was recognized as a classical dance teacher by “Escuela Municial de Danza José Neglia” and by “Instituto Universitario Nacional de Artes” of Argentine.
And in the other hand, Matías got trained in contemporary dance, folklore and theater interpretation.
They have taught at “Escuela Argentina de Tango” and “Fundación de Tango Argenino”.They also worked for the production company “Tango & Tango”, the tourism agency “Top Dest” and the sea cruise “Seabourn Pride”. They had the chance to perform in several milongas at Buenos Aires and they were part of the team of some famous tango houses like “Café Tortoni”, “Esquina Homero Manzi” and “Piazzolla Tango”. Currently they are the main dancers of “Coctel de Tango” at the Palace Duhau Park Hyatt.

Cinthia Díaz & Bruno Mayo (Argentina)
Professional dancers and instructors of tango. While pursuing a BA in Folklore and Tango at the National University Institute of Art (IUNA), they became dancers in the Tango Company of this Institute, for which they performed on many stages and in many festivals in Buenos Aires. Since 2007, they have become assistant choreographers for the same company, under the supervision of Leonardo Cuello. They have been dancers of Casa de Tango, Cena-show, Señor Tango, as well as for the dance companies Punto Cachi and Conjuro Tango. They also presented shows in various milongas of Buenos Aires.They complement their artistic career with other disciplines such as ballet, modern and contemporary dance, and theatre.
You can enjoy flamenco classes with professional dancers who are invited every 4 or 6 months for an opportunity to participate in a program of cultural exchange.
Each dancer has a different specialty, technique and style, so students can learn several techniques depending on how the class is designed. There is also a flamenco guitarist who is invited from abroad to participate in the classes. Our flamenco classes are special!

Inmaculada Ortega (Flamenco dancer | Jerez, Spain)
She begins her dancing career at the age of seven in her hometown, Jerez de la Frontera. She becomes a member of the Albarizuela Ballet, Miguel Ángel Espino and Carmen Cortés companies, among others. As a solo bailaora, she has worked with the Albarizuela Ballet, Antonio Alonso, Tomás de Madrid, María Benítez, Noche Flamenca, Alhama, Domingo Ortega and Joaquín Ruiz.
She dances at tablaos and venues such as Café de Chinitas, Corral de la Morería, Alcazaba, Casa Patas, Caracol, Las Carboneras and Corral de la Pacheca. She has also collaborated in the shows of guitarists Víctor Monge Serranito and Mario Cortés. She is guest maestra at courses in Japan, the United States and Spain.
The most outstanding performances in her career include Seville's Universal Exposition, Taejon (Korea), the International Dance Festival of Todi (Italy), Bilbao's Arriaga Theater, New York's Joyce Theater, Madrid's Alcázar Theater, Barcelona's Palau de la Música, International Dance Day at Madrid's Albéniz Theater, the Womad Festival in the Canaries... She directs her own company, Compañía Aroma Flamenco, with which she has worked in places such as Barcelona's Palau de la Música and the Alcalá in Dance Festival, among others. (Website)

Andressa Abrantes (Brazil)
Andressa started to study flamenco when she was 10 with flamenco dancer Simone Abrantes, and took classes with different Spanish and Brazilian teachers such as Inmaculada Ortega, Domingo Ortega, Carmen La Talegona, Pol Vaquero, Cristóbal Reyes, Thereza Máximo and Fábio Rodríguez. She took part in the show « Inmaculada Ortega » under the direction of Inmaculada Ortega herself, as well as in the show « Un Poquito por Ortega » under the direction of famous dancer Domingo Ortega. She gave classes in Berlin where she also performed as guest dancer. She has been part of Arte Flamenca Company since the age of 15 and has performed with them in various shows all around Brazil.

Ale Caires (Brazil)
At the age of 14 she started getting trained in flamenco.
In 2003 she was invited to take part in CAFÉ TABLAO, the first tablao flamenco made at Sao Paulo (Brazil). There she had the chance to perform several times and also to start her teaching career. At the age of 18 she joined COMPAÑÍA ALAIRE, coordinated by Ana Morena (Art Director) and Beto Angerosa (Music Director).
She also participated in several international events performing next to Nino de los Reyes and Pol Vaquero.
She attended to workshops and classes run by prestigious professionals of flamenco in Brazil like: Miriam Galeano “Perlita” (Paraguay), Miguel Alonso (Cuba), Danny Souza, Ana Morena, Cylla Alonso, Luciano Khatib, Fabio Rodríguez, Pedro Fernández, Talita Sánchez, Yara Castro, Tiza Harbas, Allan Harbas, Fernando de La Rúa, among others.
She had the chance to get trained by BIG FLAMENCO DANCERS and other LEADING AUTHORITIES like LA FARRUCA, ANTONIO CANALES, TALEGÓN DE CÓRDOBA, PILAR OGALLA, LA TRUCO, DOMINGO ORTEGA, CONCHA JAREÑO, LA MORAH, NATALIA MEIRIÑO, NINO DE LOS REYES, LA TACHA and POL VAQUERO.
Since 2007 she is completing her training with the artist CARMEN LA TALEGONA, accompanying her during the annual tour around the main cities of Brazil (Río de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Porto Alegre and Curitiba), and assisting her in all the levels of teaching (technique, intermediate, advanced and the castanets workshop).

Born in Curitiba-Brasil, he started his training at guitar when he was just 7 years old, learning about traditional music and folk from Brazil. Being 17 years old he studied with Luciano Romanelli, musician who introduced him into flamenco art, the basics of flamenco guitar, theory about harmony and techniques for improvisation. That was the moment when he found his real inspiration and since then he decided to become into a professional flamenco guitarist.
He trained with guitarists like Fernando de la Rúa, Flavio Rodríguez, El Viejín, Pino Losada, etc. He played for well-known flamenco dancers like José Maya, Concha Jareño, La Talegona, Olga Pericet, Manuel Liñán, La Tacha, Marcos Flores o Miguel Cañas, among others. During 2005 and 2006 he worked at the cultural center “Tiempo Iberoamericano” at Fukuoka (Japan) where he taught flamenco dance and guitar classes and where he also performanced several times next to the flamenco dancer Miriam Galeano “Perlita”, his wife. In 2006 he travelled to Spain to complete his training in flamenco guitar. There he had the chance to performance in the renowned tablao “Las Carboneras”, playing for other famous flamenco artists.
Since 2004 he is the music director of “Instituto Flamenco de Curitiba” where he teaches flamenco guitar. He also organized international workshops in collaboration with Carmen “La Talegona”, Manuel Liñán, Chiqui de Jerez y Farruquito. Finally he has directed the music for several shows like “Pá los Sentidos”, “Esencia”, “Grandes Nombres del Flamenco and “Carmen La Talegona”.

Santiago Alfonso (Director Santiago Alfonso’s dance company, Cuba)
Artistic director, dancer, choreographer and teacher. One of the founding members of Danza Contemporánea de Cuba, who was subsequently choreographer and director of the Conjunto Folklórico Nacional and artistic director of the famous Tropicana cabaret. Santiago's work points toward incorporating modern and contemporary dance, theatre codes and popular dances into shows conceived both for the stage and nightclubs with a fresh and experimental spirit. Opening night was a total sell-out with Transporte by Rafael Olivera, a piece which was favourably received by the critics for its philosophy of movement and impeccable execution.
